Our Story
Thank you for joining us in celebrating our love. This has been a long time coming!
We first met in May 2012, on the first day of Freedom School orientation, when Joe was 19 and Meg was 20.
We knew in the first couple of weeks that we had a special connection.
The only thing we had in common was our love of music, but that was enough.
Unfortunately, life happens.
During those first few years, we never got the chance to date, and eventually we drifted apart.
Every year or so, we would check in with each other, but the timing was never right.
Then, in the fall of 2021, we found each other again.
We began dating casually, testing the waters out. We spent hours on the phone together most nights, sometimes until three or four in the morning.
We went through a period of disconnection. When we started talking again, we thought and talked a lot about the big decision in front of us: Do we deserve to be happy?
On February 12th, 2022, Super Bowl Sunday, we chose a life together and finally, ten years later, officially started our relationship.
